Offinso North: Teachers to write End of Term Examination on the Chalkboard

Teachers at the Offinso North District Education Directorate are been instructed to write their First Term Examination on the Chalkboard for the Pupils.
Information reaching EducationGhana.net suggests that the District Director of Education at the Offinso North District Education Directorate in the Ashanti Region.

The District Director has ordered all Teachers of the various Schools to refund any monies received from any pupil in the form of Examination or Printing Fees to the said pupils.

The Director further cautioned that teachers who may go contrary to this directive may be doing that at their own risks.

GES Cautions Directors of Interference in Exams

The Ghana Education Service had ordered with immediate effect,all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Education Directors to desist from conducting termly Examination and sell to Basic Schools in their directorates.

The order is expected to take effect from First term 2017/18 academic to allow class teachers conduct their own Examination.

The Headquarters of the Ghana Education Service described it as an unfortunate phenomenon for teachers to teach the Pupils only for the district to conduct the internal Examination for the Pupils.
