Microsoft has asked workers in the Seattle area and San Francisco Bay Area to start working from home until March 25. Microsoft Executive, Vice President, Kurt DelBene reportedly sent an email asking “all employees who are in a job that can be done from home.”
The email read, “Consistent with King County guidance, we are recommending all employees who are in a job that can be done from home should do so through March 25th. Taking these measures will ensure your safety and also make the workplace safer for those that need to be onsite.”
This is coming after recent reports that some workers are not happy with Microsoft’s internal response to the outbreak of the coronavirus. A lot of deaths as a result of the coronavirus have taken place in the company’s home state of Washington.
