HOW TO IDENTIFY FAKE NTC SERVICE PROVIDERS FROM GENUINE ONES - (SCAMMERS)

The National Teaching Council (NTC) recently issued caution to teachers of the Ghana Education Service over Fake Mandatory Workshops which are in circulation over the internet.

They (NTC) advised teachers to distance themselves from such workshops since they are not Accredited Service Providers.

Pre-Tertiary Teachers of the Ghana Education Service are mandated to go through certain processes in order to renew their license within  a three-year cycle. Teachers are expected to enroll on some NTC courses such as (Demand-Driven and Supply-Driven) and Portfolio Development to acquire knowledge in oder to score Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Points.

It is in view of these reasons why the National Teaching Council (NTC) has issued accreditation to some Service Providers to organize Courses to teachers for their Professional Development to award them Certificate with Points. Due to this, Some Fake individuals or group of people (Scammers/Fraudsters) have taken the opportunity to defraud teachers purporting to be Certified Service Providers.

HOW TO CHECK GENUINE NTC SERVICE PROVIDERS

• Visit the NTC Portal through (tpg.ntc.gov.gh)

• Close the FAQs (Frequently Ask Questions) on the main Page by tapping "Close"

• Do not LOG IN to your account but instead, Scroll down the main interface

• After scrolling down, you will see a list of Certified NTC Service Providers with their names Logo

• You can now Enroll on any of the courses being offered by Service Providers listed above

• On the other hand, you can also request for the Accreditation card from the Service Providers whenever any of them visit your region or district to organise a workshop.

NOTE that any Service Provider who do not fall in any of the criteria above can be terms as FAKE
