Updates on 2023 negotiations on minimum wage

Management of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has disclosed that the technical Committee for 2023 Minimum Wage met on Tuesday 23rd August, 2022 for a discussion.

This was revealed by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Association (GNAT), Mr. Prosper Takyi, on GNAT Hour hosted by Angel FM. The Technical Committee will submit their report to the tripartite Committee hopefully next week.

The Regional Chairman indicated that although the percentage isn't out yet, the leadership of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) is ready to stand against any percentage below average.

Mr. Takyi further noted that validators have confirmed the payment of Cost Of Living Allowance (COLA) which will expire on December 2022 and thus the need for the negotiation of the 2023 Minimum wage.
