BREAKING: Majority Party in Parliament Calls for the Dismissal of Ken Ofori-Atta and Charles Adu Boahen

The Majority Party in Parliament, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have petitioned the president for immediate dismissal of the Minister of Finance , Ken Ofori-Atta and Minister of State at the Finance Ministry, Charles Adu Boahen.

This shocking Statement was released by some leading MPs from the NPP Party to the Press in Parliament on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 after they have resumed for their break.

In the release led by MP for Asante-Akim North, Andy Kwame Appiah Kubi, he explained that their position now was as a result of mismanagement of the economy which has resulted in IMF bailout.

He added that there were several petitions to the government on how the economy is being managed by Finance Ministry, but to no avail.

It is by these reasons why the New Patriotic Party MPs have petitioned Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with immidiate effect sack Ken Ofori-Atta and Charles Adu Boahen from the Finance Ministry so as to restore the hope of Ghanaians.

The group have therefore warned government not to do any business or support the approval of the 2023 budget if president Nana Akufo-Addo fails to listen to their plea this time around.

It is also reported that Eighty (80) NPP MPs have signed a petition for the removal of  Ken Ofori-Atta and Charles Adu Boahen
